OK, so there hasn’t been a post ‘every’ day…

I thought it was about time I put out an update on Find A New Blog – it’s been ( just over) three full months since I last updated the blog.

The idea was to post every day and whilst it started it out well, things just got a little hectic to say the least.

I finally got round to launching my own portfolio / business-blog at ItsDanSmith.com and alongside that and working for several new clients, I’ve barely had time to shower over the past few months.

I’m planning on restarting the regular posts again here soon, so check back soon – and don’t forget to contact me if you would like your blog reviewing.

Not a review, just a little information

I said last week that I would be posting two new blog reviews one day this week as I only did four that week.

Well, unless maths isn’t your strong point, you’ll have realised that there have only been five reviews this week – things have just been ever-so-slightly busy this week and I didn’t find the time to get up another blog review.

It looks like things are going to be busy for the foreseeable future, so I might be dropping the blog reviews down to one every other day. Not fully decided, but I’ll just see how things go.

Remember, if you want me to review your blog, you can contact me.

Just a quick update

For those who check back here daily, you’ll have noticed that there was no new or interesting blog posted on Friday of last week.

Due to this lack of post, I’ll be posting two new blogs one day this week, so keep having a look back for two posts on interesting blogs one day.

Just A Quick Update Then Back To The Blog Posts – Promise!

For those of you check who Find A New Blog on a regular basis, you’ll have noticed recently that the blog hasn’t been updated and (for the last 24 hours at least) has been a bit dubious in its workings.

It was in large due to the hosting and whilst i’m not into making negative remarks about anyone, I will say that i’m now with HostGator and throughout the last 24 hours they have been outstanding.

Live chat. E-mail support. Replies within an hour or so. Not just offering a solution to a problem that wasn’t totally hosting related, but actually fixing it without any problems whatsoever. Customer service at its best.

Now that we’re back online, i’ll have some new blogs up for you to check out starting tomorrow, as well as the interview with Jennifer Mattern from All Freelance Writing.

Remember, if you’d like me to check out your blog and get a review up here on Find A New Blog, get in touch and i’ll be sure to reply straight away.

For Those Wondering Where Friday’s Post Was….

Here it is. Sort of.

I know there are some of you who check back here on a daily basis to see what new blog has been posted and if you visited on Friday, you’ll have realised that there was a distinct lack of, well, posts.

The reason behind this is that i’ve been working on developing other aspects of Find A New Blog, most notably the two features that I discussed in the opening blog post.

For those who didn’t read the post (and still haven’t, even though there is a link above – and here), I mentioned about having a monthly Featured Blog section, as well as an interview with a blogger.

It is the latter that I have been primarily working on and for the very first interview on Find A New Blog I have managed to have a chat with Jennifer Mattern, owner of, among other websites, All Freelance Writing, which we reviewed recently (check out the review: So if FWJ is such a great writing resource, why do I like All Freelance Writing so much?).

I’m planning on having the review up in the first week of February, with the Featured Blog live mid-way through the month (more details to come on this within the next few days). Saying that, things might change and I might swap them around, so check back regularly to see both or simply sign up to the RSS feed to get instant updates.

I’m planning – or hoping – to make Find A New Blog a popular resource for everyone to use and have a few ideas other than providing new or popular blogs to be enjoyed by all, such as a Featured Blog and interviews with a range of different blog owners. It may take a while to get things to this level, but who’s looking at the clock?
